One of the silliest thoughts came to my mind, and that thing is that could the Holy Grail be some kind of quantum computer?

The modern version of the Holy Grail is the system, that connects the brainwaves of the people. In this case, there is the possibility that the Holy Grail is the radio transmitter, what puts the brainwaves or EEG of the people surrounds through the brains of the people who are in the same space with it. 

So the Holy Grail is the tool, that allows the spontaneous and collective way to think. And that means it can use this kind of thing in good and bad things. That system would be the source of great innovation, but it can be the source of doom and destruction. And that thing makes this kind of thing dangerous. Even if Medieval people would not have the ability to make this kind of thing, modern scientists can make this kind of system quite easily. 

When we are thinking about the Holy Grail, we might think that the bowl is some kind of system, that is collecting the EEG of the people who are sitting around it, and then send those brain waves to the cathedral-looking structures behind those people. Then the EEG-waves of the people will start to surround the brains of those people and the bowl, which sends them to the antenna and then to the walls of the structure, as I just wrote. Maybe that kind of idea is too fundamental, but that kind of thing is bringing in my mind.

The Pandora box is quite a similar thing to Holy Grail

In mythology, the Pandora box was the box where all evilness on Earth was stored. So we might think that the "Pandora Box" was some kind of record or the condensate. In that thing was stored the instructions, how to make some things. By using modern technology, this kind of box is easy to make, but was it possible in Ancient Greece.

At this point, I think, that if some aliens are giving that kind of system to humans, it would guarantee the ultimate force of its owner. In some jokes, the Pandora Box was the laptop computer and the solar panels, what are left from some time travelers. And there was loaded some war movies or technical data to that system. 

And then some peoples would touch it. In this scenario, the Pandora Box was sending the data straight to the nervous system of the person, who touch that thing. So were some philosophers store their EEG to the capacitor, what was given to the person called Pandora? In that case, the system would allow giving extreme power to the person, who owns that thing, if it contains the instructions on how to make explosives or centrifugal cannons. 

The aeolipile can use for that purpose. If it is on the round platform and put to rotate, it can sling stones or metal balls with very high speed to target. The aeolipile might be in the barrel, where it is invisible, and when the enemy is coming the aeolipile is put to rotate. Aiming those things happens by turning the hole in the barrel in a certain position, and the bites will fly everywhere the user wants.
