The dark forest theory.

Can aliens exist? Is it possible that aliens see us, but they don’t make contact? And why don't they want to contact us? The answer can be that, as we don’t know anything about aliens, they will not know anything about us. There is a possibility that the call signal in the universe is a trap. Just like if we walk in a dark forest and hear somebody calling. We cannot be sure if that call was just meant to make contact. Or, if it is a trap. If alien culture exists, that would not be the same as our culture. Even if we see a signal. We might not have the chance to break the message. Making contact with alien civilization is not like calling using cell phones.

When we see a message come to our cell phones. We know immediately. That humans sent that message. And we know that it's the message. But if we see an alien message, the situation is more complicated. First, we must be sure that there is a message. First, the message is the radio signal that arrives at some radio telescope. That message will be one of the thousands or even millions.

Or billions of radio signals that the telescope receives during that day. The system must separate those synthetic signals from the natural radio sources like pulsars, quasars, or fast radio bursts. Then we must try to find the code that opens the message. And then we must realize that we might not like that message. But when we think about detection and the separation process, their system filters messages from natural radio signals; there is a possibility that this system removes the synthetic signal. Because it thinks that it's from Earth. Or it thinks that the signal is the receiver's error.

The base of the dark forest theory or hypothesis is that all civilizations are hostile. And they just wait for the right moment to attack.

"The universe is a dark forest. Every civilization is an armed hunter stalking through the trees like a ghost, gently pushing aside branches that block the path and trying to tread without sound. Even breathing is done with care. The hunter has to be careful, because everywhere in the forest are stealthy hunters like him. If he finds another life—another hunter, angel, or a demon, a delicate infant to tottering old man, a fairy or demigod—there’s only one thing he can do: open fire and eliminate them." (Big Think, Dark Forest theory: A terrifying explanation of why we haven’t heard from aliens yet)

Then we must realize that if we make that thing, it certainly is the military action against those aliens. And if they are powerful and advanced, they might take revenge. Just this thing would be similar to things that started colonialism. Natives attacked Europeans because they established their irrigation on native lands. Because Europeans were hurt, they sent troops to take revenge. The military superiority gave Europeans the ability to conquer their colonies. In the same way. If we attack aliens, they might try to avenge us.

Dark forest theory is one of the darkest theories that tries to explain why we aren't able to make contact with other civilizations. The model is taken from the dark forest where we travel alone. We can yell and call other people, but even if somebody answers, that doesn’t mean that the person who answers means good. The forests are full of animals and humans, but they are not always good-willed.

We can think that there are cities full of kind people, but those people are kind because they are under observation. In the same way, we must realize that some people who live in forests are probably not as well under surveillance as we might think. The thing that makes people commit crimes is that they believe nobody sees their crimes.

The thing in the dark forest model is that the space is the forest. The civilization that lives on a certain planet is the community that lives in cities. And those members of the hypothetical alien civilizations who live in their research centers and other outposts like colonies are members who live in dark forests. They might not have the ability to communicate with their home planets very often. And that means those colonies might start to live their own life.

When we think about that hypothetical civilization and compare it with things like conquistadors and great voyages, we must realize that the first colonists returned home. But then those colonies turned more and more independent. The first voyagers returned home. Then they left for colonies forever. Those people never return. And that path made the colonies turn independent.

And in space, the scale is far bigger than on the great sails and voyages. And then some of those colonies rise more powerful than the nation that created them. So, if we think that the alien colonies or colonies that the human race will someday establish are separating from the home planet. That means those colonies become alien to their establishments. They might turn more powerful than the planet that created them.

The thing is that. As in a dark forest, in the universe. There are actors who wait for the right moment to find a helpless civilization or some other colony. Those creatures can attack and conquer the helpless planet anytime they see something that cannot resist. If we yell and try to make contact, we actually don’t know what we face. In the worst case, friendly discussion with aliens is meant as a trap.

And we must not forget that. We don’t know if aliens will try to contact us in our lifetime. But we must realize that there is always the possibility that another species tries to conquer our planet. One of the reasons for that can be that those hypothetical aliens can think of us as competitors. Or maybe they are cosmic outlaws who want to set up an accident. The dark forest hypothesis means that aliens exist, but they don’t want to contact us.

How fast is the growing speed of the Universe?

How fast is the growing speed of the Universe?

The shape of the universe.

What is the shape of the universe? (1) This is a very good question because that speed can explain, why we cannot see the location of the big bang. In somewhere past the cosmologists got a fascinating idea that galaxies would be in the layer of the ball, what is called as the universe, and then by searching the directions of the galaxies, the researchers could define the point, where the big bang happened, and then the telescopes would be turned to the "south pole" of the galaxy.

One of the things is that I'm talking here the direction of the galaxy, what is to the direction of the point, where the big bang happened as the "south pole", and in fact, the black holes might have polar like planets and stars. The idea was simply the position of the galaxy is telling, where the big bang was, and then the telescopes would easily find that point.

And then the astronomers were looking at the stars more and more effective telescopes, and they noticed that there were many galaxies in location, what supposed to be in the direction of the big bang. But as you see the scientists must sometimes adjust their theories, because observations are chancing our knowledge.

The idea of a two-dimensional ball-layer changed to the combination of the multiple models, and the thing, what kind of model of the universe is used depends on the scale. as you might know, the Universe is very big, and if we would look at things by using the very large scale model, we would think that the universe is the straight layer, and that model could be suitable in the local galaxy group.

But then the thing, what is called "U-shaped" or saddle from would turn to dominate, if the scale is smaller, and the observed area, of the universe, is getting bigger. Then the universe is turning to the ball, if the area, what observer sees is big enough. And here I must say, that the observer is always hypothetical. I have thought the universe as the 3D ball-layer, where the galaxies are in the different locations and positions, and the width of this layer is extremely large.

Why the expansion speed of the Universe is slower than it should (2)

By using the most modern telescopes, we can see the distances of billions of light-years. That means that we can see objects from that distance. The distance of a farthest known galaxy is 13 billion light-years and the size of the universe is 46 billion light-years. So we see things, what is happening in the 13 billion years ago.

But when we are thinking that we cannot see the big bang, there is one very interesting theory, and that thing is that the beginning of the existence of the expanding speed of the universe was near the speed of light. And then it started to slow. There should be something, that slows that speed, and that would mean that there is a massive black hole in the place, where the big bang has happened.

The real number of expanding the speed of expanding the universe is about 67 meters per second, and that means that there is something, that would break the expansion speed. That thing could be the mutual gravity of the galaxies, the dark material, and the last hypothesis is that in the center of the universe is the giant black hole, what is larger than any galaxy, and that thing would pull the galaxies to it. This thing makes science very nice before we can create and confirm the models of everything, we must realize, that everything is possible in the world, where black holes are dominating their environment, and massive eruptions are disturbing the harmony.

Why people must always shame about psychiatric symptoms?

Why people must always shame about psychiatric symptoms?

When we are looking at things like psychiatric diseases, we must realize, that even in the 21st century those diseases are somehow demonized and that thing isolates many people in the world. The thing in psychic diseases is that those people are not demons, they are not stronger than so-called normal people, and they are not more violent than normal people.

Or their violence is not more dangerous than some person, who has drunk alcohol or taken some drugs, and we see those people every day. When we are thinking about the people, who are at the level of the child or cannot handle themselves we must realize that this kind of thing is not their fault.

The genetic disorders are not a person's fault, and sometimes I have thought that was the reason, why people should shame about this kind of problem will to protect their parents. The thing is that this kind of genetic disorder is sometimes caused by recessive or sometimes dominated allenes. That thing means that also wealthy-looking people can get handicapped children. And handicapped persons can get wealthy children. That thing is always a thing, what we must realize.

But genomes are not ordering everything in our life, and things like drinking alcohol during pregnancy can cause handicapping before birth. And other things that can cause very bad things are violence before birth or during childhood. The last case is called model-learning, or in some cases by using the psychological term, the behavioral hereditary.

This means that parents and the other environment are teaching people attitudes and behavioral models, what is following them in the rest of their life. And those things might be a really bad thing if they are happening in the younghood. And those things that other people are doing to some baby are not the fault of those babies, even if somebody sometimes claims that.

They are the most dangerous criminals, what society has ever created is the description of serial criminals like Al Capone, which are so notorious, that we even cannot think about their acts without feeling bad. That kind of people is sometimes thinking that they have the right to do those things, which made them famous. And the thing is that those people are got the part of their behavioral models from their social circle.

And if we are thinking cases like some mafia-bosses or gang leaders, those behavioral models are formed in the homes during their younghood. That kind of criminal career, what Al Capone had must be supported from home or accepted by the adults, who were participants in that man's social life in the younghood. Or somehow Capone understood that the things, what he did was right. But how murdering people could be right in the mind of Capone or somebody like him?

This is why we are hating children. We see things that we have done between us in them. And that thing is really interesting but in the same way, the children are uncovering things, what we want to hide. If some things are often repeating in the homes, the children are repeating them in the schools. If the attitudes in the homes are somehow tough, that means that those things are very well visible in the things, what that person makes at schools and free time hobbies.
