Internet is the biggest opportunity. But also the biggest threat to democracy.

The internet allows to deliver information but also manipulate it in a new way. Internet is allowing that people can communicate straight with politicians. And let them know bout the difficulties and needs of society. But the same thing allows hostile actors to take contact straight with political leaders and offer them something. 

Or the hostile actor can introduce the research. That kind of faked research can tell that most people want something that is against the national interest. That thing can make simply introducing the faked polls. There is the possibility that there is no poll at all. And those kinds of things are affecting the politicians.

The media companies can be good platforms for cyber attacks. 

The thing that makes international web and social media and media operators a threat to democracy and national security is that they can act as a platform for the operations of the GRU and other intelligence services. Social media channels can use for collecting information. 

The GRU agent might just ask people where they or their family members are working. But the regular media can turn the weapon against democracy if they are in the wrong hands. Well-known and trusted media channels can turn into a propaganda factory in seconds. 

The actors like GRU or FSB can just buy media houses by using some covert company. And then they can replace the entire crew with their staff. Then the company starts to send the Russian propaganda. The fact is that the media company can deliver one-sided information on purpose or accidentally. There is a possibility that the sources that reporters use are telling lies. 

But also reporters can be the agents who are telling the version of "truth" that serves their government.  And that thing makes them very good actors in the indoctrination operations that are also called psychological operations or PSY-OPS. 

The new threats to democracy are the governmentally controlled trolls.

We live in the western world. And our world governments are protecting people. If somebody threatens us we might call the police. In the cases of hacking and trolling the police tries to track that actor. And if the actor is in a foreign land. Authorities send international arrest warrants. But then Chinese hackers attacked western facilities. They were tracked and then the Chinese authorities couldn't operate. 

The reason for that was that those hackers operated under the control of the Chinese government and worked for PLA (People's Liberation Army). Also, the cyberattacks that targeted Baltic states did not cause juridical actions in Russia. The reason for that was that the attacks happened under the control of the GRU, Russian military intelligence. 

Those cases have proven that western authorities couldn't predict and react to the situations that hackers operated under governmental control. The same way the Russian troll factory is operating under governmental control. The operator sits in Russia or China and the assistant is bringing the computer to the western world. The hacker or troller uses that remote computer for operations and that makes it difficult to prove. That attacks are coming from outside of borders. That makes it also difficult to deny that kind of attack. Because just closing the connections from those countries is not enough.  

The kill-ware or killing malware is a big threat. Maybe it's just hype, but the threat is still real. In scenarios, the malware is used to cause the disorder. Or give extra time for friendly military operators.

In the worst-case scenario, the malware shuts down the controlling computers of the nuclear power plants. That causes a need to shut down energy production. In some other scenarios, the malware destroys important databases in critical moments. 

The malware destroys the medical databases or databases that are controlling the flight of the missiles. If the users of those missiles recognize that the databases are destroyed. Replacing them requires a couple of minutes and in modern warfare, a couple of minutes is a long time.

Media can also use to deliver malware. The normal media can involve links that will cheat the user to download some software. And that kind of software can be malware. In the worst case, the malware kills people. 

The killing malware is the computer software that can kill people. That malware might be the computer virus that changes the blood types in the hospital. And that thing is the most dangerous situation if somebody needs blood transfer. 

Another version is the computer virus that raises the level of the runways. Or maybe it can shut down the engines of the aircraft and refuse to shut down autopilot. But that kind of malware can also change the programming code of the gas pedal of the automobile. And that means that the system starts to accelerate the car in the wrong place. 

There are many places where the killing malware can affect. In the nuclear or uranium enrichment process, the malware can raise the speed of the centrifuges. And that thing can cause a nuclear explosion in those facilities. The threat of that type of malware. Forces to shut down nuclear power plants. And in those cases, even the threat is enough for losing energy.

The background of the nuclear-powered cruise missiles

Intelligence service has predicted that the Russian new superweapon is a nuclear-powered cruise missile, called "Skyfall" (9M730 Burevestnik, NATO SSC-X-9 "Skyfall" ) (1), which uses the nuclear reactor-based ramjet engine. In this case, the gas would be expanded in the combustion chamber by using the nuclear reactor, which gives this system very long endurance, and the nuclear reactor causes terrifying pollution. When we are thinking about this kind of technology, we must realize those modern nuclear reactors are not very big. 

The idea might be that the reactor uses very high enriched plutonium as the fissile fuel and the enrichment to the weapon level makes it possible to create a small-size nuclear engine, which would use the ram-air as the cooler. The wings of that cruise missile would also contain the tubes of the cooling system, which helps to keep the temperature low enough. 

The idea of the nuclear-powered missile is not new

And, if the nuclear reactor would use the highly enriched plutonium or some heavier element like neptunium, that system can also explode like the bomb, if the need to use that kind of weapon would come to the front of our eyes. The similar systems have been created by the USAF, and one of the most well-known ideas to create the "doomsday missile" was "Project Pluto" (2). The Russian cruise missile might be the same style of the project. 

Is "Skyfall" "only" modified SS-N-19 "Shipwreck"-missile (3), which uses the nuclear reactor?

The diagrams show that the missile is quite small, but the fact is that the missile should have a big size because the reactors are needed the cooling and radioactive protection. So the missile could be installed in the submarine in the box, what is the size of "Shipwreck" or it must have golden radioactive protection layer, and if it is planned to carry also in bombers that means that there is the danger that plutonium would pollute large areas if the missile carrier would be dropped (4). 

So the bombers would be equipment by this kind of missiles only in the last time before the weapons would be used. And that means that the missile is probably rather carried in the submarines. But this is the speculation. Russians have not told, where they want to carry their weapons. 

The primary carry platform could be naval vehicles.

There have been some technical problems with that system, and a couple of members of the personnel, who were worked with this project have died in the tests, where the radioactive material has been released to the atmosphere. The place, where that accident has happened is a city near Arkangel, where are many nuclear installations. So this thing tells something about the plans, where that missile is planned to keep. 

The missile might be a similar size, what SS-N-19 "Shipwreck" has, and that tells something about the enrichment level of the reactor fuel. So if this is the reason, why the Oscar II class submarine got more size, the thing is that this might be a very long- term project. And there might be very big technical problems with the storage of nuclear fuel in the missiles.

Was Oscar II specially designed to carry "Skyfall" missiles?

The launching platforms have been possibly planned to be the nuclear submarines or battlecruisers, which are normally carrying the SS-N-19 "Shipwreck" cruise missiles. That means that the weapon was designed to operate with "Oscar II" (5) (or newer) class submarines, and that would explain the mystical enlargement of the Oscar II. The submarine would need more effective radiation protection if it is wanted to keep safe in the case, that there is carried the extra number of nuclear reactors in the missile hatches, and that means that Oscar II might be specially designed for carrying that kind of missiles.

Cyberdefense is a complicated thing, and one of the greatest problems in that area is would the other side of the operation use it's best tools for handling enemy operation. So when some state is under the cyberattack, should it use physical force like bombing the targets, where the cyberattacks come, and in this kind of cases, the attacking computers can be remote-operated, what means that the attackers themselves are not wounded even if the smart weapon hits the target.

But when we are thinking possibility, that some operators would put the malicious tool in the Linux operating system, and that operating system would be used in the tactical systems like missiles and trolling servers. Would the operator uncover that it has access to every system, what is using that operating system, or rather saying what is the scale of the cyber- and other attacks, when that ability should be used?

If some operators can shut down every tactical system of the enemy by destroying the kernel of the operating system, it would cause very big troubles for the enemy offensive. And the other problem or threat is that the numbers in the systems like cannon and smart bomb targeting algorithms would be changed, and the systems would be lost their accuracy.

The one part of the cyberattacks can be cyber sabotage and cyber assassinations. The cyber sabotage can be that the centrifuges of the nuclear enriching process are adjusted wrong, and in the worst scenarios that thing would cause spontaneous fission, and nuclear explosion in the laboratory.

And in some cases, the algorithm that detects the people by their key cards or biometric access data would be turned to the assassination tool. That means when the targeted person would step in the elevator, the break will turn off, and that means the end for that person. This kind of thing might be devastating and horrifying scenarios in the cyber threat.

That kind of thing must be noticed, when the system is planned. And the thing is that that the most vulnerable systems are protected systems, which have the only couple of users. The thing that increases the level of a vulnerability is that the systems are supposed being safe. And there is no public data about the codes, what are making those programs.

If somebody could pass the firewall and have the source codes of the system, that can allow creating a virus, that cannot detect by using a normal firewall or antivirus software. The thing that those systems are located in the secret laboratories, and they are not updated makes them vulnerable, and the personnel that is operating those systems might be highly trained, but they might not experts in the cybersecurity. And if there is no firewall in the laboratory, the infected mobile telephone can slip the malicious software inside those systems.

But when we are looking at the cases, like when Israeli aircraft lost from radar during an air raid to Syria the reason for that is probably not necessary be the cyber attack. The military forces around the world have been tested plasma-shields or so-called echo-radiation, which means that the radar impulses just turn away from the front of attacking aircraft. Plasma ionized gas is more effective for that purpose because it affects every frequency of radio transmitting.

And the target can be found by using laser scanners and other optical sensors. But things like computer viruses are also a very good way to increase the effect of things like radars. The program code can simply install or involve the radar transmitting, and that means that it would give more effect to that system if it can infect targeted things, but if the infection is not successful the radar can use to locate targets.

The tale of the "Numbers Stations" is a very interesting part of the Cold War era. Those number transmitting stations or "Swedish Rhapsody" are given topics for many theories, and when we are thinking about the numbers, what are read in German by children, after the melody, what was composed by  Hugo Alfvén, we must remember that there could be many meanings and purposes for those numbers.

The composition, composed by Hugo Alfvén might mean that the message was authorized by Central Bureau (HA for HauptAmt) And then the numbers might mean that the agents of Stasi must open the certain envelope, or start some action. Then the numbers might be many things, like combinations of certain safeboxes, or the way how the agents should turn their radio receivers channel selector, and that thing might make possible to send personal orders for agents.

Those "Numbers Stations" might use even today because they need only the passive receiver and that radio system doesn't need any SIM-cards or something else equipment, which can be tracked. And when the system would send the code, the agent will know what E-mail that person should use in the communication with the headquarters. There is one conspiracy theory, what is involving those "Numbers Stations", and that is some intelligence or special unit transmitted the subliminal orders by using those frequencies.

The idea would be very simple when the transmission of the "Numbers Station" begins, the other service would start to transmitting the subliminal messages, like "if you are KGB official use a red skirt in the work", and that would uncover the operator. But there are more dangerous ways to operate that kind of systems, and one of them is inciting the persons, who are listening to those messages for rebellion or violence.

Those mind control methods are very dangerous in wrong hands, and one of the rumors is that thing has been benefiting in the "Phoenix-program", where the CT (Counter Terror) operatives assassinated many communist supporters in the Vietnam war. But when we are thinking about that kind of programs, we must ask are that kind of programs limited only in some Vietnam jungle?

Those methods are effective also in the western world, and also the KGB had this kind of systems under research. The thing that person belongs in some illegal organization would make that kind of process more effective because they cannot tell the truth in hospital, and the subliminal ordering causes the headache and other problems. But if the doctor would not know about that the reason for those symptoms has been subliminal commanding, would the medication go wrong, what has a disastrous effect on medical care.

Trump has ordered new sanctions against Russia because of the Novochoke-case, where 5 persons were injured, and two of them were dead. Attackers have been claimed to being high-ranking GRU officials or at least another one has ranked as colonel, if we would believe about Wikipedia in this case.

The attack against Sergei Skribal is a very complicated thing. The attackers used poison, which connects the case straight to the Russian government. And the men who made that strike were recognized to GRU agents. Those things, unfortunately, show that the person, who is behind that attentate is working in the Russian government. This Skripal attentate has similarities with the Polonium-murder, where the ex-KGB agent has been murdered by using Polonium-210, which is very highly radioactive material.

And there are two possibilities. One of them is that the Russian government is behind those cases or the Russian laboratories would have security leak. If those materials like Novichoke and Polonium would get to wrong hands, the results will be devastating.

This is a very interesting thing, which has damaged the relationship between Russia and the Western World. And the thing is that even if the Russian government confess that it has nothing to do with that crime, the actors, in this case, were identified and easy to connect with the crime.

This is the thing, what wonders me. Why those men used poison named "Novichoke"? And why they didn't even try to hide their tracks? Did Russians or the persons, who were behind that action think, that the nobody even dares to say a thing about this case?

When we are thinking about the weapons that were used, we must ask, why those killers didn't choose assault rifles or some normal poison like Ricin? Those things could not so easily be connected to the Russian authorities? This kind of actions is really bad for the reputation of any government in the world. So who gave orders about this strike? Those people, who made this crime didn't operate by their motion.

If those murders would be done by using the assault rifle, that thing could be explained about the personal revenge against Skripal. In that case, the killer could claim that Skribal has made something to self while that man worked in KGB, and then the thing would not so easy to connect to the Russian government.

Sometimes when I think about the relationship, what KGB had to power, there could be persons even in the highest positions in Russian security and governmental authorities would be found men and women, whose career that service destroyed during Soviet era. Those people might have the opportunity to hide their past when the Soviet Union collapsed in 1991.

So could there some person, who has something hidden in the past, what has something to do with Skripal? This kind of things are very important things and this kind of cases must be solved because if some government kills people, who are against its policy, must the other nations give a signal that this kind of things is not tolerated. And if the hardcore killing chemicals and radioactive material can be stolen from the laboratories, that thing can cause risk for many people.

But the problem with CHAMP and other EMP weapons is that if it is targeted to the warships, what is carrying nuclear weapons, it can destroy electric systems of the devices. And this thing allows abducting nuclear weapons from that installation.

The jetpacks can cause problems for national security. If the terrorists would get them in their hands, they can use them against civilian airlines, and shoot the aircraft with bazookas or other antitank weapons like LAW-80.

But also elite forces, what is fighting against terrorism would use this kind of equipment. The new types of missions need a new type of equipment like jetpacks, what can deliver the team straight to target, and then they can fly away, what hides the existence of the field operatives. They can bring more equipment or they can use as ultralight recon planes. The jetpacks can also equip with lightweight stinger-type or Bofors RBS-56 "Bill" type missiles and machine guns which makes them dangerous against at least helicopters and lightweight armored cars. And that equipment would operate in many roles in that kind of missions.

When we are thinking about the robots on the battlefield, we must realize that those things might be very devastating. If somebody would drop the robot tank to the airbase, that vehicle can cause very much casualties before it can be destroyed. The thing is that those drones and other robots are also dangerous for public security.

Even the assembler can make the military drone by using parts, what are free to buy. And the thing is that the military drone or robot difference in those homemade versions are the programs, what controls those things. By using the analog systems is possible to make the remote-controlled fighter, and the machine guns and another kind of things can be shot similar thing, what is used in other remote triggers.

The analog systems are easy to deny by using ECM systems, and that's why those systems should be made by using digital components. One of the biggest threats in the world of the military robots is that somebody would hijack the attack drones, and if the drone uses analog systems the needed system is the radio transmitter.

What can cover the control signal of the drone, and in the data communication systems the communication can disturb by using jammer signals. The thing is, that the configuring the computer-based communication system will be similar in the military world as in the civilian networks.

But when we are thinking about the human-shaped robots, those machines can be even more terrifying than some robot version of the M-1 tank. When we are thinking about the thing that robots would not torture people, we must remember that the controllers of the robots can use remote-controlled robots for making the dirty job for those people.

When the military version of the man-shaped robot would be used on the battlefields, we must realize that those robots can be very deadly. In some cases, the robots, what is looking like a man would drop in the military bases.

Those systems can make possible to get in the places, which is too far from the surface, that the bunker buster bombs would not destroy them. In those cases, the human-shaped robots would be used as the walking bombs.

They would be the modern version of the mechanic robots, which created in the 18th and 19th centuries. But the computer control would make them more sophisticated than any mechanome could ever be. Those next-generation robots might have a nerve-gas capsule in their bodies, and they can also use multiple weapons. And those robots might look really innocent.

They can be a body switch of famous leaders. And when they enter some area, those robots can start to fire against every target, what have not IFF signal, what tells that the target is friendly. The body switch robots are actually one version of the sex robots.

The difference between sex robots and that killer android is that the last ones are meant for elimination missions. And the thing is that those androids could be more realistic than humans. So the general of the army can be changed to the robot without even the family members would not be recognized that thing.

Then the robot would walk in the command center and explode itself. The thing is that those robots can be EEG-controlled. And this kind of systems is really like some kind of another body for the people, who are controlling them.

The thing is that that kind of systems is developing by the civilian companies for entertainment purposes would not make them harmless. If that technology is misused the results could be devastating because criminals would use them fir ban robberies. And also those machines can be used as the military operators in the field of secret warfare.

And those robots would not tell anybody anything that their controllers don't want them to tell. If the memories and mission files are deleted there is no evidence about those missions and even the controllers cannot prove, that nothing illegal has ever happened. Even they have been at war on years. Those operators would not ever be left from home.
