Lasers, qubits and laser computers

Lasers, qubits and laser computers

1) The benefit of laser computer

The reason why the quantum computer is interesting the researchers is that the three-valued qubit (1) replaces the problem of what is called the problem of "zero". In the normal microprocessor, the bit has two values one and zero.

If the electricity in the wires is shut the value is zero, and if there is electricity in the wire the value is one. And the problem is that shutting down the computer must be separated by the computer. If the electricity is cut at a certain time the computer would be translated that thing that the electricity is cut off.

But if the computer would be the third value everything would go faster, because the computer would able to use two higher voltage-levels of the power. And that eliminates the problem of zero. But how to meter those voltages?

The laser, what have rotating shutter where are three points or holes would answer. If the hole one would let 100% of light travel through it, the value of qubit will be 2, the 50% passing light would give value 1, and the 0% of passing light would give value 0. The metering of the level of light happens by using the photocell. There are two versions of laser computers.

1.1) The values of qubits in quantum laser computer

Hole   /  The level of the light, what passes the hole     /     Value in qubit
1                                  100%                                                          2
2                                   50%                                                           1
3                                   0%                                                             0

2) Hybrid laser computer

Replacing wires by using lasers in microchips is theoretically very easy, and in this model, the laser ray would be put go in the line of the electric wire, and the laser ray would be targeted to extremely small silicon or solar panel, what would give the necessary electricity to the microchip or microcircuit.

The lasers can be used both in the micro-chip, and microcircuit scale solutions and the difference is in the size of the lasers. The thing, where this system needs the electricity is to use the RAM- and other types of memories, and the switches, what mission is to aim the route of data in the system.

In those cases, the switches, what is used in the architecture of the system would be the normal switches and routers, but the data would travel first to the silicon panel, what transforms it to electricity, then the electricity travels to switch, what would aim it to the right wire, and then that electricity would use another laser, what continues to transmit data by using nano-sized lasers. This solution would be easier to make, and only long wires are replaced by lasers.

3) Full-laser computer

In this solution, the small mirrors, which are equipped with the prisms and silicon detectors are transmitting the light. The in this system the laser would form also qubits, and that thing would happen by using the rotating shutter, where are three levels of holes.

The first hole would let the maximum level of light go through it, and it would give the flash the value two. The second hole would let half of the brightness of the laser light travel through it, and that gives the value one. And the last one would close the entire hole, and that would give the value zero.

The laser computer can work perfectly only in the extremely low temperatures, and in that case, even the mass memories can be replaced by using light. In this system, the light would jump between mirrors, and the data can be stored in that mode. The reason why laser computers are interesting researchers is that this kind of computer is high-power. The temperature of that kind of system is low. And the qubits are "easier" to make than by using electric wires.
