B-52H Bombers are now testing new AGM-183A hypersonic cruise missiles. 


The AGM-183A ARRW ("Arrow") ("Air-Launched Rapid Response Weapon") SCRAMJET-driven hypersonic cruise missiles are entering service, and they are one of the most powerful weapons on Earth. Or they are not entering service yet. They are under critical tests. The thing is that there are little things, that people are allowed to know about those highly classified projects, and the fact is that there might be even more deadly weapons under development in all countries, what are mentioned. 

The AGM-183 ARRW weapons are the USAF response to the similar weapons of Russia and China. The development of the hypersonic cruise missiles and its many variations is one of the most revolutionary things in the military field and the sad example of how the international contracts of the weapon disarming are not working. 

The hypersonic cruise missiles are an extremely deadly weapon even if they are using only the kinetic energy warheads. But the same systems can be equipped with a uranium bumper, which makes it a giant uranium bullet, or it can carry a thermonuclear warhead. This kind of weapon can install in the B-52H or some other strategic bombers, or they can shoot at targets by using the ballistic missiles. 

In the last model, the hypersonic missile would shoot outside the atmosphere by using some ballistic missile, and then the hypersonic missile will start to glide to the target. The speed that the ballistic missile can give is enough that the SCRAMJET engine can ignite. Similar hypersonic missiles are entering service in many countries like China, Russia, and India. 

The GBU-39 SDB 1 (The small diameter bomb 1 ) GBU-53/ StormBreaker SDB 2 (The small diameter bomb 2)  and why people should concern about this kind of weapon? 

The SDB-weapons are extremely small-size guided bomb units or GBUs, which are used since the 1970s. The SDB can have satellite, laser, image, or IR-guidance like in many other similar weapons. And they might have HEAT (aimed explosive), Thermobaric, or normal high-explosive warhead, which makes them very capable to destroy things like aircraft, vehicles, bunkers, tanks. SDB created because the light of the rocket booster of a missile can uncover the location of a stealth fighter. And those weapons are created also for surgical strikes in urban areas.  

Thermobaric explosives are giving them also large kill-radius. And that kind of weapon is hard to detect if they are dropped from the stealth planes. The high accuracy of those weapons is making them also capable to make surgical strikes against enemy leaders or some other persons. So the SDB can knock-out vehicles from the city area without secondary losses if that weapon uses an aimed warhead where the explosion is aimed in a certain direction.
