Why the USA might want to buy TikTok?

The social media application is a very effective tool for controlling people, and this is why Chinese authorities are marketing social media application named TikTok for people. If that kind of social media application is available for everybody, that thing makes it possible to hide the identities of the agents of the security police. And there is a possibility that the Chinese intelligence officers use faked identities in TikTok. 

Even the software is not tracking people itself, the authorities can ask users to take photographs of the places where the person is moving. And there is a possibility that the agents of security police are in that place, and if they are not seeing the student that means that their customer is in a different place, so if a person tries to make some fakes, that thing can cause problems. 

Social media applications like TikTok are effective tools for controlling things, what people are telling about the government. And the representatives of the government can film things like home parties themselves or asking some participants to make the documentation for them. 

And what would the USA make with that firm? Buying TikTok gives access to the databases of the company. The images and comments that are shared in that service can uncover the intelligence officers of China, and it can also uncover the identities of the informers. There is claiming that the PLA (People's Liberation Army) offers easier and lighter service for people, who are willing to give information about the "counter-revolutionary forces". 

That means that this kind of data can affect some officials and their personal life very much. There is a possibility that somebody has given information about the "counter-revolutionary attitudes" of the family member, and that thing could be devastating for the social life of that person. The students who are studying at a foreign land are members of the elite. They are trained to become the high-ranking governmental officers, and if the western intelligence will take a touch of those persons, that can make them extremely good informants. So this is why somebody is interested in services like TikTok.
