The Stanford Torus the wheel-shaped space station.

The Stanford Torus the wheel-shaped space station.

The Stanford Torus, a wheel-shaped space station is one of the most interesting things, that engineers can create. The wheel-shaped space station would make artificial gravity by using the rotating movement, and the centrifugal force would make the same effect with gravity.

The problem is what would we do with Stanford Torus and the price of that system would be huge. If the materials are taken from Moon, that thing can cause changes in tidal waves. The Moon is stabilizing the tidal force, and if the Earth would not have Moon, that kind of thing would cause the effect, that the water would start to travel against the rotating direction of Earth.

And the effect could be similar to what is happening in the container, what is shaken to and from. That effect is seen in Lake Michigan, where are giant waves because the water in that lake acts like water in the dish. And in oceans, this kind of effect would be more devastating than in Lake Michigan. Mostly those waves are caused by wind, but also the rotation of Earth affects that phenomenon, what makes Lake Michigan so dangerous

Stanford Torus and the fusion power

In the most conventional version, the Stanford Torus is used as the space station for workers who are working with the satellites, which delivers the solar power to the Earth. But there are more powerful systems, that can be used for energy production.

There is a possibility that the Stanford torus is used as a fusion reactor. In that case, the wheel, where the crew would live is replaced by using the Tokamak Reactor, which would deliver the energy to the ground in the form of microwaves or laser rays. The problem is that the person, who controls the energy controls entire civilization. The problem with this kind of systems is that they are interested in the military forces. If the plasma, what is hotter than the nucleus of the sun will deliver to the atmosphere that thing can be used as a terrifying weapon.

And there is a possibility that this kind of space colony would turn to home for the elitists, who can use this kind of toruses for controlling people, and the same lasers, what is delivering energy to the ground can be used for delivering destruction all around the world. If the laser-or microwave systems would be targeted to the water areas that thing can cause that the clouds will cover the entire planet.

The Stanford Torus would have military purposes, and if that station is equipped with high-power microwave systems, it can control airspace and send the EMP-pulses through the atmosphere. That system can have adjustable power, which can destroy incoming missiles and electronic equipment, but high-energy microwaves can melt entire cities to lava. This is the shadow side of that technology.

Plasmonic waves can make new waves in quantum technology.

"LSU researchers have made a significant discovery related to the fundamental properties and behavior of plasmonic waves, which can lead ot the development of more sensitive and robust quantum technologies. Credit: LSU" (ScitechDaily, Plasmonics Breakthrough Unleashes New Era of Quantum Technologies) Plasmonic waves in the quantum gas are the next-generation tools. The plasmonic wave is quite similar to radio waves. Or, rather say it, a combination of acoustic waves and electromagnetic waves. Quantum gas is an atom group. In those atom groups, temperature and pressure are extremely low.  The distance of atoms is long. And when an electromagnetic system can pump energy to those atoms. But the thing in quantum gas is that the atoms also make physical movements like soundwaves. It's possible. To create quantum gas using monoatomic ions like ionized noble gas. In those systems, positive (or negative) atoms push each other away.  When the box is filled with quantum gas and som

Metamaterials can change their properties in an electric- or electro-optical field.

"Researchers have created a novel metamaterial that can dynamically tune its shape and properties in real-time, offering unprecedented adaptability for applications in robotics and smart materials. This development bridges the gap between current materials and the adaptability seen in nature, paving the way for the future of adaptive technologies.
