Why we don't think of Dante as a serious scientist, even he mapped the universe six centuries before Einstein?
Dante, the writer of the book "Divine Comedy" description of hell is the man, who is causing many kinds of thoughts. At first, we must remember that Dante Alighieri or simply Dante (C.1265-1321) lived in Medieval time, and during that time the best way to make the road to a bonfire was to publish something that was not accepted by the Catholic church. So if something was against the order of the Catholic church. That caused torture and the death penalty in the hands of inquisition.
The second thing is that Dante is known only as a writer, not a serious scientist. Maybe Dante was a serious scientist, but he must cover his work as the artistical work, and that means he wanted other people to know him only the writer, not a scientist. When we are analyzing his books and especially ´"Divine Comedy" we must realize that there is one of the most interesting books in history.
There are two explanations of things like "Inferno" which Dante described in that book. The first is that somebody was keeping secret minings in somewhere and took the gold to Europe without telling that thing to the rulers. The second explanation was that Dante visited some alien base, but that thing is almost too exotic to believe. But when we are seeing the image above this text, Dante is portrayed as the researcher, who carefully follows the text, what he sees. That image is from the Wikipedia article, what is telling about Dante.
The reason why Dante Alighieri used only his first name was that he probably wanted to hide his identity. And the second thing is that maybe the books, what that man wrote were reports for somebody, who wanted to read them. The thing is that in the time of Dante, many people wanted to know the secrets of the Vatican, and maybe Dante was working for someone, who wanted to see, what made the seat of Pope the seat of power.

Did Gustave Dóre get his ideas for those images from the automatons?
On the Wikipedia page of Dante is three images drawn for the book "Divine Comedy" by the man known as Gustave Dóre (1832-1883). When we are seeing that giant eagle, we can ask is it possible that there were flying robots in the lifetime of Gustave Dóre. By using modern technology is possible to make the flying robot, what flaps its wings, but is it possible to make an automaton, mechanic robot what flies like a bird and looks like Eagle?
The most left of those images portraits the giant eagle, which takes a woman to flight. The image in middle is the thing, what is explained as the UFO or something like that. When we are thinking that the creature wants to make the wormhole between objects, that thing requires two rings, where the singularity is made in the middle of those rings by targeting the piece of material the fully symmetrical radio waves.
And the most right image is the tunnel to the heave, which has sometimes caused explanations of some kind of wormholes or giant space stations like O'Neill cylinders. The thing is that where Gustave Dóre got his ideas for those images is interesting, but those things are fascinating. The thing is that we are observing those things from the point of view, of our knowledge. And even those images are only the production of imagination, they are causing fantastic ideas in my mind.
