The hierarchy of needs affects even the most advanced civilizations.
Sooner or later even the most advanced civilization must answer the problem, where they get the energy?
The need to make fire is the beginning of civilization. And ironically if the species lives to the end of the universe that need returns. At the end of the universe is no stars or black holes, and there is no radiation if the universe is open. But if it is closed and everything might be ending to a big crash that thing makes it possible that the species could stay in the giant spaceships, and then return to life when that black hole explodes.
So is the God the species, what is coming from the past universe? And if the universe is a series of bubbles between big crashes and big bangs, how old that species could be? How many universes it might see? But that species has only one problem. What if the universe would become too light? The idea is that a little part of the material, what is releasing in the big bang would go too far. And the universe loses its mass whenever it collapses into a black hole.
The reason for that is that a little bit of the material is turning to tachyons or those particles would fly too far, and the black hole cannot pull them inside it during the big crash. So what if the universe would become too light? That happens because too much material is gone away from the gravity effect of the giant black hole? And that kind of hyper-advanced civilization must find the answer to that problem because their existence remains only if the universe would make a big crash and then big bangs. But if the universe is too light, that cycle between the big crash and big bang ends. This thing is written by thinking that the universe is closed, which means the entire material will collapse back at one point.
The problem is replacing with other problem.
The ironic thing in Maslow's hierarchy of needs is that troubles are replacing by others. At first, the species, what can be we, the human beings must solve the problem, where we can get fire? Then we must solve the problem, how to save Earth from pollution and overpopulation? And what about epidemics, how we protect ourselves against those things? And sooner or later, if we live long enough, we must leave from Earth.
But even if we would move to other solar systems, we must someday face the collide of the Milky Way and Andromeda galaxy. And at last, the last star in the universe will burn its hydrogen and the last black hole is vaporizing. If we live so long, we must solve the final problem, how to get energy if there is nothing in the Universe?
Maslow's hierarchy of needs is acting with many other things than just marketing. If we are thinking the science, the new inventions and research need more accuracy than ever before. That thing means the need for research equipment like observation tools and computing capacity is always increasing. The need to make something new by using higher accuracy is creating the need to make more complicated simulations and that thing requires more powerful calculation tools.
And things like artificial intelligence can collect the data that is important for the case study. The temperature with the PH-range and other things can automatically drive to the database, which helps the researchers in their work.
But then we might think that the hierarchy of needs affects everything in our life. The point in this way to think is that society is a collective version of individuals. The individuals are forming the society. So if we would make a perfect society, where is no violence, the next need is to make a cure for diseases and epidemics.
The ability to solve problems is forming an endless series of problems, which continues to the end of time.
But there will be more and more new viruses, so there is no perfect vaccine or medicine. So if we want to make the perfect tool against viruses and bacteria, we can create the nanomachines that can destroy every type of bacteria and virus or cancer cell, what they are facing. The thing is that if we are creating the genetics and biotechnology far enough, that thing would allow us to make the machines, what can rebuild our DNA someday.
And in this case, we would become immortal. But even in that case, we would face other problems, like where we will move, when the sun is ended its life? Or what we will do when the last star of the universe uses its hydrogen? Or what will we do when the last black hole in the universe is vaporizing? Maybe that thing has caused some kind of thoughts about high-flown things. But the fact is that someday is the end of the universe.
The species that think to solve every problem forget, that there are always new and more complicated problems. The idea that the problem of the caveman was how to get fire and warm for the community remains. If we are thinking that civilization would live or be existing to the end of the universe. The problem is again the same. How to get energy for a living? The fact is that in this model the problem would get back to begin, how to get the basic needs satisfied?
