The Australian university scanned the sky 17 hours and found no sign for intelligent life.

The Australian university scanned the sky 17 hours and found no sign for intelligent life.

Australian university scanned 10 million star systems in the Vela constellation and they found no sign of intelligent lifeforms. And this kind of thing is like a "small step to human but a big step for the human race" like Neil Armstrong's first step on the moon was. The big step is that the alien and intelligent alien life is now under research and that thing means that people can talk about alien life and UFOs without causing laugh.

So what the thing that the 17 hours scan of the Vela constellation without any trace of alien transmit tells? That tells that during the scanning session nobody uses a radio transmitter in the Vela constellation with the power, which makes it possible to separate it from the cosmic white noise,  and here we must realize that the Vela constellation is the only one of star clusters on the sky.

There is one vision of the SETI-project, which is not mentioned, and that thing is that the humanoid might begin the transmitting just after the telescope is turning away. And in that case, we cannot hear those humanoids. But there is a possibility that hypothetical humanoids are the same way afraid the contact with us as we are afraid of them.

The thing is that those humanoids are under the same threat as we are, and they should afraid of the same things, what we are afraid of. And the other thing is that the culture of the humanoids might be different than we have, even they would have a similar life environment, what we have on Earth. Even our home planets would be similar, the culture of humans and aliens and way of thinking might be different.

So do aliens drink Coca Cola? That question is asked because we must realize the influence of the culture if we want to make contact with aliens.

And when we are looking at the signals from the sky, we should realize what we are looking for? What kind of transmitting the alien civilizations might use? Are they use extreme short and powerful data packages, or are they packing the data in some kind of plasma ball, where outsiders cannot hear it? The plasma-ball that is created by bipolar ion pairs would protect the radio wave from the influence of the outside radio transmission.

Maybe when we are making some kind of SETI-research we are expecting something, what we cannot get. We expect that the culture of the alien civilization will be the same as what we have. The beginning point in some researches is aliens are sitting on the sofa and staring at the television like humans. Maybe in that case we are expecting "too much". We are believing that the aliens and their culture are similar to us.

So what is the thing in SETI-program? The thing is that we don't even know, what we should be looking for. We could make contact tomorrow, or maybe that happens after 1000 years.  Sometimes we are afraid one thing, what is hard to confess.

That is that we are afraid that there is something, that is similar to us. When we are searching alien civilization there is always a possibility that those creatures are hostile. But research continues and maybe someday we find another civilization, which would revolutionize our lifestyle and other things. And maybe that is the new beginning for the human race.

Plasmonic waves can make new waves in quantum technology.

"LSU researchers have made a significant discovery related to the fundamental properties and behavior of plasmonic waves, which can lead ot the development of more sensitive and robust quantum technologies. Credit: LSU" (ScitechDaily, Plasmonics Breakthrough Unleashes New Era of Quantum Technologies) Plasmonic waves in the quantum gas are the next-generation tools. The plasmonic wave is quite similar to radio waves. Or, rather say it, a combination of acoustic waves and electromagnetic waves. Quantum gas is an atom group. In those atom groups, temperature and pressure are extremely low.  The distance of atoms is long. And when an electromagnetic system can pump energy to those atoms. But the thing in quantum gas is that the atoms also make physical movements like soundwaves. It's possible. To create quantum gas using monoatomic ions like ionized noble gas. In those systems, positive (or negative) atoms push each other away.  When the box is filled with quantum gas and som

Metamaterials can change their properties in an electric- or electro-optical field.
