Are super-earth or mini-earth suitable places for intelligent life
The mini-earth would be small, about the Titan-sized planet, which has a thick atmosphere, but I will return to that thing later in this text. When we are thinking about super-earth or earth-type planets, what have similar atmospheric conditions with earth, they are the same way suitable places for intelligent lifeforms with the earth. The hypothetical creatures that live on those planets would be the same way adapted to that planet as the creatures on earth are adapted with the conditions on our planet.
If we are thinking that some planet maintains intelligent lifeform, we can think that this lifeform is the result of a long evolution, just like we are. And there must happen something, which makes the evolution to favor intelligent individuals.
Sometimes I have thought that this kind of advantage, where the intelligence replaced the other ways to maintain the species happened when the predators had superior against some species. When the hungry predator attacked, something made of the ancestors of the modern dominating species to take the stick from the ground, and hit that thing, and maybe the road was similar in our hypothetical planet.
And then we can think about the planet, what gravity field is about 2-5 times stronger than earth. But the environment would be similar except the strong gravity. So, in this case, the hypothetical intelligent creature, what lives on that planet would be quite short, if the metabolism is similar to us. In this case, if that creature would step on earth, at least I would not want to fight against that thing, because the muscles of that alien would be too strong.

Titan
Hypothetical lifeforms of the extremely small planets, what is the size of Titan, but warmer

Why the atmosphere of Titan is so thick (If Titan would be closer to Sun, and it's atmosphere be different, there could be intelligent lifeforms)
Titan is the giant moon of Saturn. The escaping velocity of that small world is 0,236 of Earth, and the atmosphere that is 95% nitrogen is extremely thick if we are thinking that this moon has a surface pressure of the 1,45 times of the earth. If the Titan would be closer, the atmosphere should be heavier, because the weak gravity cannot keep it over the object.
So the thing, that makes Titan very interesting is a thick atmosphere of that object, and if that small planet would be closer to the sun. There could exist an intelligent life if the atmosphere would be heavier, and the distance to the sun suitable, that temperature would be suitable for carbon-based lifeforms, what could be different than us. The term "carbon-based intelligent lifeform" doesn't mean that the hypothetical creatures are our copies or their technology will be similar to what we use.
The surface pressure is 1,45 atmosphere of earth, and that is caused because of the extremely low temperature on that moon, and maybe that low temperature is the reason, why the pressure is so high. I have thought that the atmosphere of Titan would be formed by the heavy hydrocarbon molecules, which would make it heavier. But there is something strange with that thick atmosphere. Maybe the low temperature will keep the atmosphere in its place.

Tall creatures of the small planets.
If the planet, where the next example of alien comes from is very small, and the gravity field would be 0,7-0,5 times of gravity of Earth, the creature would be tall but weak. That means that the weak gravity allows the creature to grow taller, or if the creature would come from some very small planet, what gravity field is similar to Titan, that creature would be a weak giant. The thing is that creature needs the skin, which would have the ability to photosynthesis, and in that case, our organism would not need free oxygen.
In that case, the planet would have a thick hydrocarbon atmosphere, because if the atmosphere is formed by lighter gasses, it would just fly away. Could that kind of alien create a technical civilization? They could benefit the volcanic or solar energy for making the first tools, and collect the radiation, which comes from their sun by using giant mirror-systems or lava, for melting metals and other minerals.
Making the first mirrors might happen by using the volcanic temperature, and then the creatures can start to use parabolic mirrors for making tools. And sometimes I have thought, what the Earth will look like if we would use the parabolic mirrors in the place of the burning tree.
Would our planet be a less polluted and more friendly place to live? If those creatures want to walk the planets, that have a stronger gravity field they would need HULC-type robotic exoskeleton to compensate the weak muscles and allowing them to walk and operate around that hypothetical planet.
