If the virus would flee from a laboratory, that offers something, what we could blame in the corona epidemics. That thing causes the reason, why people want to believe this kind of theory because they offer us the human, who we can blame about this kind of thing. 

Because COVID 19 is naturally created(1), the end of this epidemic is not like in some Hollywood movies. The thing that coronavirus would be released from some laboratory offers us something, who we would blame about this situation. Something that would send to the courtroom would offer us something, who will give answers for that kind of thing, like suffusing the epidemics. If the virus transforms naturally there is no Hollywood-style ending. People would someday maybe quite soon return to their workplaces, and that means that life would turn normal. 

But maybe this virus causes that some people in the shadowy rooms would check their action procedure for this kind of situation. And maybe those people are already preparing for new pandemics. When we are thinking possibilities that some viruses are left from laboratories, many people "want to believe" this kind of thing. If that virus is left from the laboratory, that gives something, who would be blamed about this situation. If the virus is formed naturally that kind of thing would not offer somebody, who will be punished. 

And if these things would be some Hollywood movie, there would be trials after this situation, and the people, who are responsible for delivering the viruses would be punished. But if the virus is formed naturally there is nobody, who would be prosecuted. We cannot go to the courtroom and say "mister pangolin, the virus what transformed in your body caused some deaths and unforeseen economic disaster and panic". And we cannot even require benefits for that action.

Everything seems large and different in China, and Wuhan is the tenth large city in that country

One of the reasons why Chinese authorities might seem to underrate this problem is that Wuhan is the tenth biggest city in China. For Europeans, the population of 8 million permanently living people seems very big, but there are nine bigger cities in China. And that means that the number of quarantined people seems huge. And maybe tourists and people, who live outside the town, but goes to work in that area would raise the population to the 11,2 million people. China highlights the homepage says that there are 7,9 million people (2), but Business Insider tells that the number of quarantined people is 11 million(3). 

The difference in numbers is caused because tourists were also ordered in quarantine. But because the government of China is authoritarian this kind of situation always causes rumors and theories about the "real reason" of the isolation. And now we see that the real reason was coronavirus. 

The big thing seems beautiful, and suddenly we are forgetting the scale, where something is happening. If we are thinking that there are 11,2 million people in Wuhan, and in entire China lives almost 1,4 billion people, this thing tells something about the scale where quarantines and other kinds of things happen in population. China Highlights homepage tells that in Wuhan lives 7,9 million people(1), but there is the possibility that the way to calculate population is different. 

That means there might be 7,9 million people, who live permanently at Wuhan, and others are coming to town for work, and maybe tourists are increasing the population. So if China puts some city to quarantine or there something else happens, that thing causes always big numbers to media. And if someplace like Wuhan would be isolated, that isolation would always cause rumors, because that thing happens to so many people. In China, Wuhan is the 10th biggest city in China and that might feel quite small in comparison to Shanghai and Beijing. 

But China is far away in the east, and the language of that nation is different than ours. Also, we have difficulty understanding the letters of China, and that means that along with the totalitarian system, where many things have been hidden from the public, the culture offers a very good base for rumors and other kinds of things.
