The system could transport humans through the atmosphere or space in ion form is hard to make because the ions, that are sent through the air must put back in the same form, where they were when they were sent to the ion channel. This kind of system can use the holographic image for calculating the position, where each ion would stop. But that teleportation system is only a hypothetical thing. Nowadays technology is not so advanced that we could make this solution into practice.
