The ancient Olympic games and their role in society

As we might know, the Olympic games had a much deeper meaning in antic Greece than just games. They offered a place for the discussions about peace and alliances because they were a natural place, where also kings can visit. So there were many other things, which were done around those games, and the sports were not in primary reason, why some kings visited in that area. Hot weather kept people inside or seeing the games, and that caused that the kings could discuss like outsiders didn't hear, what they spoke in their tents.

The ancient Olympics of antic Greece was hosted by the city named Elis, and those games were done in the holy area of Olympia. Those Olympic games were five days of competitions, where athletics race against each other, and then the winner got glory and money. Except in the horse race, where the money was given straight to sponsor, and the driver of the horse got the payment from the sponsor.

Or officially that money was given to a horse, but of course, they were used by the sponsor. And, of course, officially the athletics were private persons when they participated in the games. But those athletics gave gold and glory for their hometowns, and that is one reason, why the loss in those games was a shame.

Even if those athletics were private persons, the city offered them to change to practice for the Olympics and that means that those persons had coaches. When we are looking at the historical texts, the sportsmen gave a small gift to the statue of Zeus, when they won those games. The thing is that those gifts were cheap, and they were symbolic gestures for the gods, that they allowed that man to win the games. And as you might know, that those athletics were trained by professionals. Those gifts were the marketing merchandise, what the coaches used to offer their services.

And training of those athletics was expensive. I don't know did those athletics themselves know that there was big money behind them. So if the sportsman was caught for deceit, that person must buy the small statue of Zeus for the god, and that statue was the mark that money and time, what those athletics were cost must give back. But there is one question in those Olympics, and that is, why they were hosted by Elis?

That is because those sportsmen must dare to try hard, and that means that the place of Elis or the Olympian holy land was chosen for the place of the games, which was kept in the hottest time in summer at every fourth year. The reason for that was that there was a break in agriculture, but the hot weather kept people in order. But there was one thing, why those ancient Olympic games arranged.

That thing might be ancient eugenics. In that time noble families of Greece lived in total isolation, and marriages were allowed only at the same level of people. That means that those families were sharply marked in the family trees and the bloodlines were very important because one handicapped person might risk everything. So the new blood or genetic material, as we would say in modern times should be best what can get. And the Olympics were the perfect place for selecting that new blood.

The thing was that those sportsmen were perfect fathers for the children of the princesses. They brought fresh blood for the royal families of Greece, and that's why they were used for ancient eugenics. The Greeks were known that wealthy people gave wealthy children. In ancient Greece, those people knew, that also things like personality traits are descending. So that was so-called ancient eugenics. And in that time the noble families were living in total isolation, which means that they must get the new genetic material, and that thing was given those athletics. So this kind of thing is a very good way to explain things like DNA manipulation.

Plasmonic waves can make new waves in quantum technology.

"LSU researchers have made a significant discovery related to the fundamental properties and behavior of plasmonic waves, which can lead ot the development of more sensitive and robust quantum technologies. Credit: LSU" (ScitechDaily, Plasmonics Breakthrough Unleashes New Era of Quantum Technologies) Plasmonic waves in the quantum gas are the next-generation tools. The plasmonic wave is quite similar to radio waves. Or, rather say it, a combination of acoustic waves and electromagnetic waves. Quantum gas is an atom group. In those atom groups, temperature and pressure are extremely low.  The distance of atoms is long. And when an electromagnetic system can pump energy to those atoms. But the thing in quantum gas is that the atoms also make physical movements like soundwaves. It's possible. To create quantum gas using monoatomic ions like ionized noble gas. In those systems, positive (or negative) atoms push each other away.  When the box is filled with quantum gas and som
