Government, police, and artificial intelligence


The biggest problem with society is people, who are not following rules. But then we must realize that there are many rules in society. We know that things like the police are a necessary but unfortunately uncomfortable part of society. There are always people who are acting dangerously. But the problem is the authorities who are acting violently against the regular people. 

We know that the sign of a democratic society is that people have the right to protest. But then we must realize that there are limits to the protests. There are always people who misuse their right to argue against the government. As we have seen on the Internet and social media some people think that they have the right to threaten people. When people are alone in the dark, there is always the possibility that this kind of situation is the opportunity for making bad things. And that's why surveillance is needed. 

When we are seeing police violence in the USA and Russia, we are facing the fact, that the weakest point in the chain is humans. The police and other kinds of things are meant for protecting people. But what can people do, when the police are turning to the threat. What if the mission of the authorities is to serve only the small elitist groups? Can we get some other thing, that removes the humanitarian aspect? Maybe we think that policemen are good guys. 

We know that officially the mission of the police force is serving and protect people. That is the principle in western nations.  We must realize that thing is not the prime mission of law enforcement in all countries. But there are nations. where the prime mission of the police is to follow the orders of the rulers of the nation. The term "police" can also mean internal army, which mission is to crush the resistance and revolts against the central government. 

Until we are facing the situation when we are carried to the police station without telling the reason. And then some policeman is standing on our hand. Maybe we can moan that officer, but what if that moan is hiding in the office. And that thing happens quite often in some countries, where the government is extremely authoritarian. 

Society is facing its biggest turning point in history. The new and brave world is rising. Our way to think about things like work is chancing. We can benefit from things like remote work. But our attitudes are denying the full-scale use of those opportunities. The resistance against changes is big. And also things like electric vehicles are causing resistance.

But the fact is that we must change our lifestyle, or we are in very big trouble. The fact is that artificial intelligence has a bigger role in the society of tomorrow than we expect. It can keep records, how we drive the car. It can control traffic lights, follow the life of people. The remote meetings can also be controlled by artificial intelligence. It can calculate every single word, what people are saying.

And maybe that feels stressful, but it also shows if somebody is only hanging in the workplace. Artificial intelligence can notice if there are no actions in hours in the company's workspace even if the person sits all the time at the front of the computer. There is the possibility that the worker will put another computer on the same desk as the working computer. And that another computer can use also for gaming.

In the society of tomorrow, the services for the people are taken close to them. The workplaces can also locate near good public transportation routes. And in some visions the people of tomorrow are living in the collectives, what might look like the tube hotels of Tokyo.

When we are thinking about things like the cities of tomorrow, we must realize that the biggest problem is safety. And the same things that are making our lives safe are also powerful tools in the hands of the government. Governments are made for protecting people, but what if some misuse government. And one problem is the people who have certain attitudes, which are making problems for finding the truth.

Authorities are forming of people. And if we are thinking the cases like crimes, we know that sometimes people who are working in the government have certain attitudes. If those attitudes are causing the wrong arrest, in that case, the persons who are making mistakes must confess that thing.

But if the arresting is violent, that thing turns very dramatic. It's hard to say that the case where the door is blown in and all people inside are affected with stun grenades if they are not guilty.

The weakest point in the chain is always people. The most common case, where normal people are facing danger is not a terror attack. It's the case, where some angry or drunk person jumps behind the wheel. Sometimes are asked why the cars are not equipped with the remote system, what can close their electricity if the driving of those vehicles is dangerous.

Or why there is no need to use alcohol tests before a person can use the car? That thing requires the alcohol meter and the USB wire that is connected to the car. And only the clean blow test will give the access to drive the car. In some ideas, motor vehicles have no independent power sources, and if somebody is driving dangerously, the system just stops the power supply. Or there can be the points, where the EMP-pulse will close the systems of the vehicles.

Artificial intelligence can control powerplants, and it can observe the need for electricity. Then the system can adjust the use of the fuel and that saves fuel and nature. It can search for things like risky persons or warn about possible bombs. When the system sees the person who is acting dangerously it can call the officials to the place.

Or if the surveillance cameras are equipped with acoustic stun devices they can take the dangerous people out. The acoustic devices can break bones or blood cells by using resonance. In that case, the pain can be outstanding. And that thing means that they might be more lethal than any shotgun or gun. The fact is that acoustic weapons can use to take prisoners in cases when suspects want to die.

The use of guns is of course effective. But the information is hard to get from dead people, and in the case of terrorism, the field team is working for somebody. But in the wrong hands, those things are the ultimate tools for making bad things.
