The laptop broke the "post-quantum" cryptography scheme that was meant to protect information against quantum computers.

The fact is that quantum computers are a new thing. Those new and powerful systems are making the regular, binary cryptography old-fashion. Traditional RSA cryptography is very easy to break by using quantum computers. 

So there it needed a new algorithm that can protect networks against quantum computers. This is why NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) published the race, to create next-generation cryptography. The advances in quantum computing are huge. And that means those systems are turning more common. 

So maybe quite soon the first quantum servers are in use in private corporations. And sooner than we think, the first quantum-PC:s are sold in supermarkets. That means we must create new algorithms and methods for protecting our networks against quantum hackers. 

There is a problem that nobody knows what will be the next step in quantum technology. And there are many protocols and cryptographic systems tested against the attacks of quantum computers. But some of those algorithms involve mistakes. And one of them is broken by using laptop computers. That thing tells that even the symmetrical curve cryptography and other symmetrical methods don't stand against quantum computers. An algorithm is useless against quantum computers if the laptops can break it. 

The reason why quantum cryptography is hard to break is that the data travels in the form of a qubit. Because the qubit is the particle the attempt to steal information will cause the quantum states of that qubit to be disturbed. And that thing uncovers the attempt to steal information. 


Normally qubits are traveling in the protective laser ray. And that thing makes quantum cryptography more secure than we even think.


There is, of course, a possibility, that quantum systems can be hacked. But the time that the binary computer uses for that thing is extremely long. So if we want to break the code that is made in a second by using a quantum computer, by using a binary computer that takes over a month. This means real-time hacking the quantum systems by using binary computers is impossible. 

So if somebody wants to hack things like battlefield missiles that are using quantum cryptography in their messages by using binary computers, that will take so long time, that this kind of hacking doesn't affect the situation.

If we think that a qubit is like a house, or tower with multiple layers or states we can make quantum cryptography even more secure than it was before. In the case where qubit has let's say eleven states. We can use as an example states 5, 7, and 10 for sending information. So we must not use those quantum states successively. 

If we use only states 5,7 and 10. We might fill other states by using white noise. Or we can send things like images in those states. In that case, if somebody tries to open the message that thing will disturb other states and cause distortion in those images. That means we can see if somebody tried to steal information from the qubits.

Why are things like the JWST telescope along with Artemis and Dart spacecraft advancing the economy and civil and military technology?

The growing economy requires innovation and trust. 


The price of the JWST and Artemis is very high. But the fact is that they are advancing economical advantage. Those kinds of high-profile projects are a good introduction to the know-how of the actors that are working with them. This thing will bring companies to offer their ideas and discuss with NASA and its cooperatives about advancing space technology in civil and military areas. 

When we are thinking about the price of the moon program. We always forget that the moon program gave many sidelines like velcros. And the experience of heavy-duty systems. But it also opened the path to developing lightweight computers and later artificial intelligence. So the projects like Artemis and JWST are offering the framework where new products can develop. 

Things like Mars-rovers are also offering the tool how to test independently operating vehicles and the artificial intelligence software that can turn into everyday life. Innovation is the key element in those missions. 


The new technology can be dangerous in the wrong hands. 


NASA's Dart mission also offers the possibility to create and develop a new type of artificial intelligence-based technology that allows one to search for the right asteroid and shoot the penetrators to it. But the same technology that is used in Dart can use for creating killer satellites that can destroy at least military satellites. 

The problem with killer satellites is that space is, of course, a demilitarized area. But things like GPS satellites, recon satellites that point to the targets, and satellites that are supporting military forces in some other ways are military targets. The military role of the satellite makes it a legal military target. 

So the killer satellites are satellites that might seem harmless to people on Earth. But modern technology is changing that situation. Those satellites can drop armed quadcopters from the orbiter. 

Those quadcopters can be satellite-controlled and armed with pistols or larger weapons. Those systems are more realistic than some "rail guns". They are simply capsules that are dropped through the atmosphere and release those drones.

There is a new era for space exploration.



The next attempt to launch Artemis 1 mission is maybe on Friday.  The fact is that the new era of spaceflight is rising. New heavy-duty cargo systems like Artemis and Space-X's Starship are making history. 

They allow creating the new type of missions where large structures can assemble at the Earth and moon orbiters. The miniature shuttles can use as assistant systems that are putting the parts of the large-size structures in the right places. 


But why the Moon is an important thing for the next-generation space missions?


The space station that is on the moon's surface offers a good place to test the technology that is needed on Mars and farther. But another thing is that the Moon is needed for interplanetary flights for one reason. Interplanetary flights are based the nuclear-powered spacecraft. The nuclear reactor that is used in those missions is dangerous because radioactive material from those reactors can fall to Earth. 

Sending a nuclear reactor to the Moon's orbiter requires heavy cargo systems. The highly radioactive material that is needed as fuel in those reactors can launch to the moon's surface in multiple different launches. That minimizes the possibility that the nuclear material can leak to large areas in nature. 

Nuclear fuel can be stored in hard capsules and shot together with other parts of the Moon's orbiter. When only a minimum mass of fission material is shot in each launch, it minimizes the possibility of a large-scale nuclear disaster. 

The nuclear-powered rockets' parts can be put together at the Moon orbiter and the reactor can start behind the Moon. That denies radioactive debris to fall on Earth. 

The moon's orbiter is also in a very good position for larger space telescopes than James Webb. The service crews can use the Moon's surface for the storage of mirrors and other systems. The service for those large-scale and extremely expensive instruments can also make by using robot teams. The remote-control robots can change the mirrors of those telescopes that can be even larger than JWST.

Cloning and genetic engineering make it possible to create individuals that have never been seen before. So, pinned evolution may already be a reality. There are lots of people who are resisting this kind of technology. But this is one of the ways to make "spare parts" for humans. The idea is simple. The embryo will grow and when it's an abortion age the wanted organs will remove by operators. 

Then those organs can put to grow in nutrients. That thing is one of the versions of technology that can use to make spare parts for humans. Those embryos can make it possible to create customized organ transplants for any person in the world. The idea is that person will be cloned and that embryo is used as the "spare parts".

The new air-breathing hypersonic missiles are entering service soon.

Creating air-breathing hypersonic technology is more difficult, than using regular rockets and hypersonic gliders. Those gliders are connected with regular rockets. Most hypersonic missiles are regular systems that use regular rocket engines and hypersonic gliders. Hypersonic gliders are warheads that are designed to act like extremely fast gliders. 

But air-breathing hypersonic systems are necessary for the creation of hypersonic jet fighters. A hypersonic glider is like some kind of space shuttle that is shot to ballistic jump. The reason why hypersonic technology makes aircraft fly at very high altitudes is that the speed of the aircraft will drive more air into the engine than slow-flying aircraft. The Raytheon long-range hypersonic missiles are reaching the speed of Mach 5. Those missiles are the next-generation systems that can have a longer range than traditional rocket-based hypersonic missiles. The air-breathing hypersonic weapon (HAWC) is one of the versions of the hypersonic systems that are entering service. 

The air-breathing hypersonic missiles are systems that can use for many purposes. The hypersonic aircraft can take the rocket to a ballistic jump. That system takes the rocket to the edge of space. And then the system can shoot things like Pegasus rockets that can carry satellites or ASAT (Anti-Satellite) weapons to Earth orbiter.

Even if there are rules about the use of space. The military is very interesting in space weapons like killer satellites. Those satellites can drop also killer drones through the atmosphere. And they can assassinate even individual persons if they use new and effective, small-size quadcopters like Australian DefendTex D40 kamikaze drones (Image 3). DefendTexD40 can deliver from hands, it can be shot by using mortars or dropped from airborne or even satellites. Those drones can be controlled by using satellites and their small size makes them very dangerous. 

That thing means that we should re-estimate the personal protection of the primary actors of the governments. The reconnaissance, GPS, and communication satellites are playing vital roles in modern warfare. And that makes those systems legal targets. 


The RDE (Rotation Detonation Engine) can make the small-size solid fuel scramjet and ramjet systems possible. 

Hypersonic systems are coming and the next-generation jet fighters can have the ability to hypersonic speed. But also the artillery grenades that use ramjet or scramjet engines can be the next-generation tools. The RDE (Rotation Detonation Engine) engine can be useful in the ramjets and scramjets that use solid fuel. 

The solid fuel is like sausage around the stick in the middle of the structure and the air that is moving in the chamber like the screw is burning that fuel. That kind of small-diameter high-speed ammunition can be even more effective than the famous HiMARS system.

Some people think that quantum computing can be a bigger thing than the invention of fire.

The data security must be fully confirmed because hackers can cause very big problems with that kind of system. Quantum security cannot be broken by using regular binary computers.

Technical timebombs part II




The biggest threat to the human race is the rise of the global environment's temperature. The reason for that rise in the temperature is that we use energy sources that are delivering carbon dioxide to the atmosphere causing a rise in the temperature. We use old-fashion technology because we don't want to invest the new energy sources. 

Technology and especially, wrong-used technology can cause global problems. Things like carbon monoxide emissions, waste of natural resources, and pollution along with overpopulation are causing very big risks. So those risks are more problematic than some military technology because people think that civilian technology is safe. Things like pandemics can cause very large-scale human problems for mankind.

Even if epidemics will not kill people directly things like epidemics that are destroying food such as corn and rice can cause famines. Also when we are thinking about polluted ground and water, those things can cause very bad situations. But the biggest threat to us is the carbon emissions that are overheating our planet. The problem with those kinds of time bombs is that they are not weapons. 

Humans are used fossil fuels long time. That means the entire energy environment is made to use oil and natural gas. There are many nations in which economics are basing the sale of oil and gas. Cheap oil and gas are denying the use of green energy. And the reason for that is that the new energy sources require investments. 

But another reason for slow investments in renewing and carbon neutral energy sources is that nations like Russia are getting the main part of their foreign incomes from gas and oil. If other nations turn to using other energy sources the money that those nations are paying for gas and oil is turning into another pocket. And that means that the incomes of those oil and gas exporting countries are decreasing. 


Technological time bombs can danger entire civilization.



We might already have technical time bombs on our planets. Things like nuclear weapons which operators must turn key after a certain time can cause a dangerous situation. The idea of this kind of nuclear weapon is that turning the key tells the system that the operator is alive. And if that key will not turn the system might think that the operators are dead. And then it will start an attack against suspected enemies.

Another problem is the robot submarines that mission is to hide under the sea. Those systems might program that if the communication signal between that robot submarine and its base cuts the submarine will start to attack the "enemies". 

The technical time bomb can be made on purpose or accidentally. In some visions, there is some kind of leak in the nuclear waste storage. And then suddenly that leak can cause a nuclear reaction. Technical time bombs are the things that can cause local or global damage. 

When AI is turned on more common in military systems there developed computer viruses called "logic bombs". When certain parameters are filled the logic bomb will destroy things like databases of the target computers.  That kind of situation can cause danger if it happens in vital and mission-critical systems.

Six extra-large atoms can imitate brain.


The full article about those six atoms and brain imitation is in the New Scientist. But the fact is that these kinds of ideas are revolutionizing quantum technology. There is theoretically possible that atoms can make similar structures like neurons.  

And, of course, that brings fascinating ideas to neuroscience but also for artificial intelligence. Some researchers have introduced a model where the electron layers of the atom act as the neuron's membrane. The superpositioned and entangled electrons make channels that are acting as axons in this quantum brain. 

The memory blocks that are needed for making the quantum brain function are the electrons that are at the Rydberg state. This thing makes it possible to make the atom cloud where the atoms are formed the 3D structure that is similar to the human brain. 

This is one of the visions of the extremely advanced quantum systems. There are many versions of this theoretical quantum computer that has the form of an atom cloud. The shape of the quantum computer is not pre-ordered. Things like electron clouds and even quarks and photon clouds can be from the quantum computer. 

And one of the most brilliant quantum computers is the human brain. Each neuron is a biological qubit. And every single neuron can operate in a certain state like atoms, which work in miniature quantum computers. 

The thing that makes quantum computers so powerful. Is that they can make multiple operations at the same time. 

So because the quantum computer can share the calculations to multiple levels or states that allow the quantum computer makes everything at a very high speed. That thing makes those systems so powerful. 

Things like used axon tracks and the neuron's temperature can determine the state of the neuron. I don't know how much the temperature of the neuron affects the state of the neuron. But enzymes that neuron uses to control the neurotransmitters are very sensitive to temperature. 

But things like the number of used axons that neuron uses. And the route of the signal affects the determination of the state of the neurons. This thing makes our brain the most fascinating tool in the world.

Genetic research solved 30 years old mystery. Nerve-agent sarin caused The " Gulf-war illness".



New genetic research uncovered that the depleted uranium ammunitions didn't cause the famous "Gulf war illness". The reason for those symptoms was in nerve agent sarin (1). Sarin or GB is one of the deadliest chemicals in the world. And it has a deadly effect, even if the person wears protective suits.  

Organophosphates like VX, sarin, soman, and tabun cause death by skin contact. Also, even if the person has the counter-chemicals or antidotes to sarin like atropine, Biperiden, and pralidoxime. (2).

 The chemical database says: "The lethal dose for man is estimated to be 0.01 mg/kg". (3). even if the dose is not deadly, can sarin cause permanent nerve damage. (4) 

The sarin and other G-agents remain on the surface layers like weapons and other equipment. Those chemical weapons can cause ADHD-like symptoms. 

So operators must remove nerve agents from the surfaces in the poisoned area very carefully because even a low dose of those chemicals can cause symptoms. The effect of the nerve agent is simple. It denies the work of one enzyme that destroys neurotransmitters after its work. That thing causes the spasm. But if the dose is lower than deadly that thing causes sweat and restless behavior. 

And operators must wash carefully, especially things like protective glasses and buttons of the clothes. Sarin is the first known nerve agent. Nazi Germany's scientists produced that chemical agent in the 1930s. 

Sarin is less poisonous than the VX. And it's easier to produce and control than VX. So chemical is more suitable for the use of low-tech military than some VX or other more poisonous chemicals. 

Today there is planned to use biological sensors for uncovering the use of chemical weapons. Those sensors are basing the cloned neurons. And the system watches if the enzyme that destroys neurotransmitters after its use will not work. This system can make that thing by observing the actions of the cloned muscle cells.

The new hypersonic missiles will install into the Zumwalt-class destroyer USS Michael Monsoor.

All three Zumwalt-class destroyers are getting new and powerful hypersonic missiles.  Those missiles have a speed of Mach 5+. And they have a very long range, says the article in the Eurasian Times. The installation of those new hypersonic missiles means that the advanced 155mm. gun turrets are removed and replaced by hypersonic missile tubes. The details about that modification are in the article below this text. 

The world is waiting for new lightweight and portable super- and hypersonic systems. Military forces can install those hypersonic systems in vehicles like main battle tanks. Or they can even be man-portable. 

The new hypersonic systems can shoot dummy or intelligent ammunition. And they are the most powerful systems in the world. 

Hypersonic systems are not always missiles. They might be things like rail guns. And maybe the next stage in hypersonic weapons is the guided hypersonic ammunition for artillery. Railguns can accelerate artillery grenades to very high speed. And maybe, somebody already tests the scramjet-driven grenades or artillery shells that speed is over Mach 5. 

The railgun technology makes it possible to create a small-caliber, fast-sooting gun that can use against airborne and surface targets. The thing is that the railgun technology makes a standard iron-hearted .50 caliber bullet devastating if its speed rises over Mach 6. The same system can shoot guided ammunition like "intelligent bullets" to the targets. And the railgun systems can shoot even individual persons from extremely long ranges. 

These kinds of systems are the next-generation tools for the military. The railguns can accelerate even regular rifle bullets to a speed that is many times higher than Mach 1. The speed of famous GAU-8 "Avenger" ammunition is Mach 1,5. So if the speed of the bullet is Mach 3- or higher. That thing makes also rifle-caliber guns powerful against at least light armor. 

Nanotechnology, along with new and powerful power sources makes it possible to create lightweight and powerful magnetic systems. Those magnetic accelerators can install also to the silencers of regular rifles. And that thing increases the speed of the bullet very high. If that kind of bullet has a uranium core, that thing gives it the ability to destroy almost all kinds of targets.
